The 1976 version of King Kong was panned by most critics, but the general audience loved it. Long before CGI, this version of Kong was played by make-up artist Rick Baker wearing a King Kong suit that he and his team built plus, the producer, Dino De laurentiis, had a 40 foot tall (12.2 meters) mechanical model of Kong built for certain shots.  Watch and enjoy the making of King Kong to find out how this fantastic film was made.
